Are you a Jackhammer?
The Jackhammer parent acknowledges the child's effort, encourages them to continue striving for excellence, and provides guidance on how to improve themselves. It includes praise for their successes, recognition for their efforts, and positive reinforcement for their progress. Additionally, it would focus on teaching the child how to reach their goals, how to deal with challenges, and how to work through any negative emotions that arise. It is also supportive and provides a safe space for the child to express themselves without judgement or criticism. Most importantly, it emphasizes that the child is capable of doing great things and that their parent is there to help them along the way. This isn't about being a Democrat or a Republican- it's about doing what's best for our kids.
